The Canon for Discipleship is responsible for helping faith communities in the Episcopal Church of Minnesota center the core work of making disciples of Jesus. The Canon will do so by cultivating and stewarding a comprehensive formation pipeline for lay and ordained individuals of all ages. This will include a combination of a direct discipleship system and process work (primarily with adults) as well as overseeing several positions poised to facilitate discipleship systems with particular audiences. This position seeks to dream broadly of pathways to walk the way of Jesus today, discovering, developing, and implementing a variety of dynamic approaches across the diocese. This role is open to lay or ordained applicants. The Canon will serve as part of the senior diocesan staff team alongside other Canons and the Bishop. This is a brand new position in ECMN, designed to live more deeply into our diocesan priorities.
